Develop a mental armory from sources that are not image-driven like television and screens. Read books, absorb their ideas, and talk about them.
Visual media is in the habit of leaning on stimulating but largely empty images that only serve to reinforce their points. They repeat the same words and phrases, eroding a larger framework of ideas until everyone is using the same empty talking points instead of thinking and communicating deeply.
