The Cybernetic Culture Research Unit was a collective of professors and philosophers orbiting around Warwick University in the late 1990s that focused on cultural theory, cyberpunk and "theory-fiction" that produced a ton of writing within the university institution and outside of it. It had a cult following, and was eventually dissolved in 2003.

Notable participantes include Nick Land (controversial thinker with alt-right ties who brought the idea of accelerationism into the forefront, perhaps by Hyperstition), Sadie Plant, Mark Fisher, and Kode9, musician and creator of the electronic record label Hyperdub.
